Privacy Policy
Effective October 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what sftpserverpro.com and the TailSoft SFTP Server Pro purchase process collect, why, and how it's handled. The site and Software are operated by Nimrod Carmi ("we", "us"). We keep this short on purpose — we don't run ad trackers, we don't sell data, and there isn't much to hide behind long legal language.
1. What we collect, and why
- Contact form: the name, email address, and message you submit, plus your IP address (used only for spam filtering via hCaptcha). We use this to reply to you by email. Submissions aren't stored in any public-facing database.
- Purchases: payment is handled entirely by Paddle.com, our payment processor and merchant of record — we never see or store your card details. Paddle shares with us your name, email address, and a customer identifier so we can email your license file and provide support. We keep a record of completed orders (name, email, order/customer ID, date) in a private data store that sits outside the public website and isn't reachable by any URL.
- Website usage: we keep an aggregate counter of page visits and installer downloads. To avoid counting the same visitor twice in a day, we store a one-way hash of your IP address plus the date, which is discarded after 24 hours — we never log your raw IP address for this purpose.
- Fonts & checkout: this site loads fonts from Google Fonts, the Paddle.js checkout library from Paddle, and hCaptcha for spam protection. Each of these may receive your IP address and browser details directly from your browser as a normal part of loading their service, under their own privacy policies.
- Infrastructure: the site is served through Cloudflare, which sits in front of our server for performance and security and processes standard connection data (like IP address) as part of that service.
2. What we don't do
- No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or behavioral advertising trackers.
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We don't store payment card details — Paddle does, as our processor.
3. Data retention
Order records are kept for as long as needed to support your license (for example, reissuing a lost license.dat) and to meet our tax/accounting obligations, and are deleted or anonymized on request unless we're legally required to keep them. Contact form messages live in our email inbox and follow our normal email housekeeping.
4. Your rights
You can ask us at any time what data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — subject to what we're required to keep for legal or accounting reasons, such as records of a completed sale. Email [email protected] and we'll handle it directly; there's no ticketing system standing in the way.
5. Children
This Software and site are not directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
6. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect changes, with a new effective date shown above.
